Two different databases, three different methods: how to search for mobile phone numbers of LinkedIn profiles using Datagma's Easy Search and Advanced Phone Search.

Introduction

Finding the mobile phone number of a LinkedIn user used to mean calling their company’s main switchboard and hoping to get transferred. Datagma changes that.

Datagma maintains two different phone number databases — Easy Search and Advanced Phone Search — each optimized for different use cases and coverage levels. Here’s how each works and when to use them.

The Easy Search database is Datagma’s primary phone lookup layer. It covers the broadest range of profiles and is accessible through all three Datagma interfaces:

  • Search Engine — search by name, company, and role on app.datagma.com
  • Chrome Extension — reveal phone and email directly on any LinkedIn profile
  • File Upload / CSV Enrichment — bulk enrich a list of LinkedIn URLs

Easy Search is the right starting point for most use cases: outbound sales, recruitment, and account enrichment at scale.

The Advanced Phone Search database is a deeper, more specialized layer that trades breadth for depth. It focuses on harder-to-find mobile numbers for profiles where standard sources come up empty.

Access: Advanced Phone Search is available through the Search Engine only (not via Chrome Extension or File Upload).

Use Advanced Phone Search when:

  • Easy Search returned no result for a specific profile
  • You need maximum coverage for a high-priority account
  • You’re enriching a small, targeted list and every number matters
  1. Install the Datagma Chrome Extension from the Chrome Web Store
  2. Navigate to any LinkedIn profile or Sales Navigator result
  3. Click the Datagma extension icon in your browser toolbar
  4. The phone number (when found) and verified email appear instantly

This is the fastest method for one-at-a-time lookups while you’re actively browsing LinkedIn.

  1. Export your LinkedIn search results as a CSV (using the Datagma extension or a tool like Evaboot)
  2. Log into app.datagma.com and go to File Upload
  3. Upload your CSV file — map the LinkedIn URL column
  4. Download the enriched file with mobile phone numbers added for each matched profile

File Upload supports up to 50,000 profiles per batch. Results are typically ready in under 5 minutes for standard-sized files.

  1. Log into app.datagma.com
  2. Use the Search Engine to look up a specific person by name, company, and/or role
  3. View the result — Easy Search result appears first
  4. If no phone is found, switch to Advanced Phone Search for a deeper lookup

The Search Engine is ideal for high-priority accounts where you need maximum phone coverage on specific individuals.

What Makes Datagma Phone Numbers Different

Mobile-Only Guarantee

Datagma only charges for mobile (direct) phone numbers. If the number returned is a landline or HQ switchboard, you are not charged.

This is a critical distinction from providers like Apollo, who may charge for landlines presented as mobile numbers.

Real-Time, Not Cached

Datagma crawls data in real time rather than serving from a static database. This means you get the most current number associated with a profile — not data that’s 12–24 months old.

Confidence Scores

Each phone number result includes a confidence indicator, helping you prioritize which numbers to call first and which to verify manually.

Coverage Expectations

Coverage varies by geography and job function:

  • North America (US/Canada): highest coverage, especially for B2B professionals
  • Western Europe (UK, DACH, Nordics, France): strong coverage
  • India, Brazil, Southeast Asia: growing coverage
  • Executives and C-level: slightly lower than mid-management (harder-to-find numbers)

For bulk enrichment, expect 15–40% mobile phone match rates depending on geography and ICP, with Datagma consistently outperforming Lusha and Apollo on mobile-specific coverage in independent tests.

Pricing

Phone number credits are consumed only when a mobile number is successfully returned. Plans start at $39/month, and credits roll over month to month.
